Color Dots Candle Jar

Color Dots Candle Jar

Estimated time: 1 hour

For this project, I used water colors and white “dot” labels to decorate a candle jar. The white labels, the candles and the jar all came from the dollar store.
I talked to Annabelle about picking a color theme and then experimenting with variations on that theme. She picked blue and so we used some true blue, light blue and aqua blue.

When you are applying the watercolor to the dots, try to keep them from getting super soaking wet. If they get too wet, they turn to mush. They are easiest to work with when they are fully dry.

ANNABELLE SAYS:
“I love this activity because you get to make what you want and if you don’t like the way it looks you can change it up because their stickers. When you light it up, it makes the colors glow.”
